Addison Tweedy.
In a post-christian world, college students are asking questions about the world around them. Bitcoin became one way students became open to the idea that maybe the world wasn’t exactly what they thought. Maybe there is more.
Addison Tweedy is an evangelist with a heart for college students. He first learned about Bitcoin in 2015 but then re-evaluated it in 2020 during the pandemic.
He quickly realized that Bitcoin is a tool as a savings tool for missionaries.
From there, he realized that this opened a conversation about sound money, a conversation that was open to anyone who had experienced the effects of un-sound money (inflation, over-taxation, currency exchange rates, fractional reserve banking).
Additionally, he realized that he could easily transfer the conversation to the gospel - if people see our financial system as broken then they understand the need for hard money. Likewise, if people recognize that they are broken then they realize they need a Savior.
“Bitcoin’s little “t” truth points to God’s big “T” Truth.”
